True love ....

My last portrait session of the year, Dave and Shirley. And what a privilege. It was a last minute session right before Christmas. After chatting with Shirley the day before, I met them the day of our shoot. Not only were they beautiful to photograph, they were a lovely couple that I enjoyed talking to, getting to know, and seeing how much in love they were after over 60 years of marriage! What an inspiration! And a perfect close to my 2011 portraits .... Thank you Dave and Shirley.

Catching up ....

Wow .... how fast time goes. And how few posts as of late. As most of us, my time has been filled with family, friends and festivities. While I've kept up on work, I've neglected the blog! But no time like the present to catch up.

And a perfect family to do it with .... one of my favs .... the Isabells.

Meet Katie ...

So here's Katie, a senior and my last senior session of the season (for now anyway!). Katie was such fun to hang out with and get to know. A unique girl with her own ideas, style and paths. I loved her confidence. A definite free spirit .....

Simply sitting in the quiet of the night. The household is fast asleep .... and I'm just thinking of the blessings that surround me. I'm overwhelmed, grateful, in aw ..... The list is magnificent .... my husband and children at the top. So undeserving, yet I'm showered with blessings I never knew possible. God is good ....

Goodnight ....

Megan and Ryan .... a beautiful marriage

Finally .... images from Megan and Ryan's wedding day. (more to follow soon)
It was a true family affair from every aspect of the day. The stunning setting was Megan's moms home, and the decor was all Ryan's mom. And the attention to detail was exquisite. A fall harvest theme met with an unspeakable elegance.
But the family feel didn't end there. Ryan came in by boat down the river, accompanied by his side of the bridal party .... his brother, two sisters and his grandfather, who was his best man. Throughout the entire ceremony the bridal party held hands ....
The entire day was filled with sweet moments .... I was honored to be part of it.
